So that is SUPER annoying. For everyone who had hoped we’d get off lightly after the Polar Vortex 2014 experience, think again. The brisk February winds continue to blow, Punxsutawny Phil saw his shadow, so we hunker down and wait until March. In fact, as long as I can remember, we celebrate the St. Patty’s Day snowfall (and yes, we’ve had one every year for the last 5 at least) as the last major inconvenience to endure before spring brings us relief. If you’re like me, you’d rather not go outside in this weather. But as an Innkeeper, I can tell you we miss our guests! We certainly have time to catch up on cleaning and organizing, but travelers are wary this time of year and tend to book last minute or cancel. So we’ve come up with a few options to help the wary wanderer: winter specials, single night stays with major discounts for adding a second night, and a weather policy that can’t be beat (we won’t charge you a cancel, just trust you’ll come see us some other time). Don’t let the dodgy winter doldrums keep you from exploring! Come for a cozy weekend, a hot breakfast, and some well-deserved down time. And once you’re here, we won’t make you leave.
